Created in 1956 and recognised as a useful public organisation in 1961, the CNPP brings together institutions that have a predominantly general interest: central means, certification, institutional communication. More than 90% of the CNPP’s members are insurance companies, members of the French Federation of Insurance Companies (FFSA) and the Insurance and Mutuals group (GEMA).
The ‘CNPP Enterprise’ subsidiary brings together services available to businesses and associations: studies and research, evaluations, trials and inspection, continual training, auditing, consultation, news, and hotels and catering.

The experts:

Engineers, technicians, trainers, consultants and journalists… the CNPP are surrounded by specialists in physics, chemistry, mechanics, electronics, analysis, auditing, management; organisation or construction.
The CNPP team counts almost 285 full and part time permanent members of staff, and 300 contract trainers, editors and consultants.

The sites:

The CNPP headquarters is located in the CNPP European Security Centre, Vernon dans l’Eure, 80km from Paris. Most of the teams are based on this site, as well as in:

- 7 regional sites (La Ciotat, Douai, Lyon, Mulhouse, Nantes, Paris, Toulouse);- A Benelux branch - A network of agreed departmental, regional collective and overseas centres providing some CNPP products and services (West Indies/Guyana, Réunion, New Caledonia – French Polynesia and Tunisia).
