A2P certification is obtained after :
  • laboratory tests;
  • an audit of the production site(s).
Periodic checks are made to maintain the viability of the certification :
  • an annual audit of the production site(s).
  • laboratory evaluations (modifications, variations, etc.).
A2P certification :
  • recognises the performance and reliability of the products ;
  • guarantees their quality is recognized by safety and security professionals.

A2P certification "Sprinkler Cabinets"
certifies that the products covered :
  • meet defined technical specifications (general, levels of accessibility, design and implementation),
  • are manufactured in a quality-controlled environment.
The products covered :
  • Command and control cabinets for diesel engine pumping units,
  • Command and control cabinets for electric motor pump sets.

A2P “automatic gas fire-extinguishing systems” certification
certifies that the products covered :
  • meet defined technical specifications (system components, technical compatibility, functional compatibility, hydraulic characteristics, efficiency),
  • are manufactured in a quality-controlled environment.
The products covered :
automatic gas fire-extinguishing systems designated by the association of the following three items
  • The gaseous extinguishing agent,
  • The storage pressure,
  • the reference of the list of components of the automatic gas extinction (AGE) system.

NF & A2P "Intrusion alarm systems - components" certification
certifies that the products covered :
  • meet defined technical specifications (global security level, access level and autonomy),

  • audible alarms, flashing light,
  • power supplies, junction boxes, intermediate equipment,

NF & A2P certification is jointly issued by AFNOR Certification and CNPP Cert.

A2P "building locks" certification
certifies that the products covered :
  • Are capable of resisting unauthorized attempts at breaking and entry,
  • are manufactured in a quality-controlled environment.
The products covered :
complete building locks consisting of a main component (housing), a strike, a lock cylinder, a triangular lock cylinder and an actuator :
  • mechanically locking building locks with mechanical locking mechanism and building latches, mortised or surface-mounted, with one or more bolts, fail-safe or add-on,
  • Mechanical-cylinder or keyless building locks.
 Classification (resistance to forced entry level) :
Classification levels provide an appropriate response to the threat (burglar / tools / time typology).

A2P "Safes and strongrooms" certification
certifies that the products covered :
  • Are capable of resisting unauthorized attempts at breaking and entry,
  • are manufactured in a quality-controlled environment.
A2P certification results in the classification of safes according to their resistance to unauthorized opening.
The products covered :
Various categories of safes for private individuals and operators of sensitive banking, industrial and commercial establishments.
Safes, strongroom doors, strongrooms, deposit systems, safe base plates
Certified characteristics include :
  • the ability to resist unauthorised attempts at entry, for a defined period of time, and deliberate attacks by one or more operators using his/her physical force and defined tools (hand tools, electrical and thermal tools as the case may be),
  • the ability of the lock intended to equip these products to resist destructive attacks and lock picking or logical opening attempts,
  • the applicable provisions of EN 1143-1 (strong boxes, ATMs, strongroom doors and strongrooms), EN 1143-2 (deposit systems).
♦ High-security locks
Certified characteristics include :
  • the ability to resist destructive attacks and lock picking or logical opening attempts,
  • the number of combinations,
  • electromagnetic compatibility,
  • reliability,
  • the applicable provisions of EN 1300 (high-security locks).
Safes for ATMs, ATM base plates
Certified characteristics include :
  • the ability to resist unauthorised attempts at entry, for a defined period of time, and deliberate attacks by one or more operators using his/her physical force and defined tools (hand tools, electrical and thermal tools as the case may be),
  • the ability of the lock intended to equip these products to resist destructive attacks and lock picking or logical opening attempts,
  • the applicable provisions of EN 1143-1 (strong boxes, ATMs, strongroom doors and strongrooms).
♦ Secure Safe Cabinets
Intelligent banknote neutralization systems built into the strong boxes and ATMs
Certified characteristics include :
  • the ability to automatically neutralize all of the banknotes irreversibly, in a given time,
  • the ability to trigger the neutralization system if attacked as defined.

The utility of CE Marking

 
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) No (EU) 305/2011 is a European regulation designed to ensure the free circulation of construction products in the countries of the European Union.
 
CE marking certifies that the products are fit for their intended use and fulfil the basic requirements (performance, protection of the safety and health of people, of the environment, etc.).
 
CNPP Cert. is a notified body (No. 1116) by the French authorities to carry out the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (System 1) required under the "CPR" procedure. (Accreditation No. 5-0547 - Scope available on www.cofrac.fr).
 

Products meeting the standards: 
  • Of the EN 12 094-x series.

  • EN 12 101-8: smoke extraction dampers
  • EN 15 650: fire dampers
Products meeting the standard :
  • EN 12 101-10: power supplies

The assessment process
  • Initial type testing according to the relevant harmonized standard(s) ;
  • FPC Audit (Factory Production Control) with the following objectives :
         - Ensure that the means available to the manufacturer match those declared in the application file ;

       

 
Following these assessments, a certificate of constancy of performance is issued to the manufacturer by CNPP Cert.
